  Personal reflection:  America Magazine is published by  The Society of Jesus commonly known as the  Jesuits . God’s Truth is simple. Evil isn’t complicated! June 16 is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and this is the day the evil one and all his minions chose to publicly mock the Catholic Faith in the city originally named  El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reyna de los Angeles, The City of Our Lady Queen of the Angels. It's really not that complicated, it's really quite simple.   Personal reflection: The satire of the past is taken seriously in the present. The satire of today is taken seriously tomorrow.  Moderators seek out "coded" language throughout the internet to justify their decision to ban those who disagree with them from communicating through digital devices.   Moderator says: “The sky is blue”, must be banned. This is code, meaning that those living in the red states want the asteroids falling from the sky to fall upon and destroy all the blue states.    Moderator says, The movie "It’s a Wonderful Life!" must be wiped out.   Personal reflection: You may say that your decision is not going against the Pope; but it definitely is going against God. You may say that the Vatican has no problem with your decision, but God definitely does have a problem with this decision. “Advent: The National Life Monument,” is a larger-than-life bronze statue by Canadian Catholic artist Timothy Paul Schmalz which depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary pregnant with an unborn baby Jesus and is located  on the campus of The Catholic University of America’s Theological College in Washington, DC. Personal reflection:   Why is Baby Jesus in what looks like a cold, sterile, stainless steel operating-room basin?   Where’s Mother Mary's warm, welcoming womb, the umbilical cord, the life-giving, nurturing connection between Mother and Child?   Where is the halo on Mother Mary and on Baby Jesus?   The statue seems to conjure an image and message of an abhorrent abortion and is not at all an image and message of pro-life that it purports to be!

A Nation of economic Illiterates I have lost my second computer in a modern world that could never mesh with my simple, near goose quill, raising in the cotton fields and cattle pastures of my Beulah youth.  After spending nearly two thousand dollars, my last column just magically disappeared. I pray for a successful ending for this one. America is a nation of dull normal economic illiteracy, infected with class- warfare despising the rich, screaming fair share taxes for all.  They would never believe the top 1 percent pay 40 percent of all taxes in some way. Sure, they avoid taxes, being smart buying equally for sell legislatures for IRS rules paying less. But the truth is, the lower the taxes for the rich, the higher the living standers for the masses, with the rich investing in new industries creating new jobs opportunities rather than fleeing or buying tax shelters. Remember the corporate trillions coming home to America from the world when Trump made our corporate taxes compet

 

Lift up special intentions with novenas. We all have intentions that we hold deeply in the silence of our hearts .
