Legatus Presents: Hallowtide - Vigil of All Saints: October 31, 2023

Personal reflection: As Catholics instead of saying "Happy Halloween" we should be wishing everyone a "Happy Hallowtide - Vigil of All Saints, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day".

This Dumbed Down America is Killing Us by Gene Chapman

This Dumbed Down America is Killing Us  by  Gene Chapman There was a time when superior intelligence was honored, respected, and even looked up too. It was an individual blessing for mankind, irrespective of race, creed, or color. Some people simply stand out, more thoughtful than others. Adam Smith wrote The Wealth of Nations in the 1700’s, just as pertinent today as it was then. W. E. B. Du Boies was a Black intellectual educator, long deceased, influencing society today. Black Thomas Sowell is my favorite, most brilliant writer of my lifetime, starting out as a Communist, ending as a full bloom Capitalist. I first read Sowell’s columns in the Washington Times and was hooked on his brilliance, as the dominant influence on my simple Beulah, economic reasoning. My older brother Stinson, argued as a child, that Roosevelt’s government programs would eventually make people dependent upon big government, and today’s’ Deep State catastrophe proves him correct! He also told me Tom Cotton,

Reject false idols / Rechazar los ídolos falsos

Image
Personal reflection:   May God uproot and destroy the false idol sins in our life of human approval, of human power, of human control, and of human pleasure. Approval: May we only want to be accepted by God, so that we do not become a slave to the opinions of others. So that we do not live by their praise and die by their criticism. So that we do not make ourselves into whatever others want us to be, to earn their love and respect.  Power: May we not love the feeling of superiority, so that we do not pursue those things we believe give it to us, be that money, good looks, status, popularity, or positions of influence. May we not be willing to do whatever it takes to get them. May we not become prone to ruthlessness, dishonesty, and a tendency to treat people like pawns. Control: May we not in order to feel safe, falsely think we need things to go according to our plan. May we not attempt to dominate the people and circumstances around us. May we not worry constantly. If oth

Will Congress FINALLY Hold Catholic Charities Accountable For Its Facilitation Of Illegal Immigration? from Church Militant by Michael Voris

Image
Will Congress FINALLY Hold Catholic Charities Accountable For Its Facilitation Of Illegal Immigration? Michael Voris coming to you from the nation’s Capitol, where the Catholic bishops’ social justice arm — Catholic Charities — is about to come under intense congressional scrutiny. For a number of years now, as longtime followers will attest to, Church Militant has been chasing down the story of the U.S. bishops’ Catholic Charities’ undermining of national security by its role in the illegal immigration crisis — up to and including child sex trafficking. Two years ago, Church Militant went to the Texas–Mexico border and spoke directly with U.S. patriots who pointed the finger squarely at the U.S. bishops as one of the largest provocateurs in this fiasco — owing to the billions the bishops get from D.C. to supposedly help with humanitarian relief. Well, that information has finally reached the halls of Congress where quite a few members are now demanding answers and an accounting from

Aborting Babies and Beheading Children - Graphic Content / Aborto de Bebés y Decapitación de Niños - Contenido gráfico

Image
Personal reflection: It’s most ironic that those who are most horrified about the terrorists beheading children are the ones who advocate for abortion without limits even up to the moment of birth. Hypocrisy is hideous. *********************************************** Reflexión personal: Es muy irónico que los que están más horrorizados por los terroristas que decapitan a los niños sean los que abogan por el aborto sin límites, incluso hasta el momento del nacimiento. La hipocresía es horrible.
