Appeal for Donations of Diapers for Amistad Pregnancy Care Center

Image
Dear little handmaids and friends, Amistad Pregnancy Care Center needs disposable diapers of any size. They are out of size 3 and low on sizes 2 & 4. But diapers of any size are always sincerely appreciated. APCC provides a variety of assistance to women in crisis pregnancies and for mothers of babies and young children. The Center provides free pregnancy tests and Christian counseling, with the goal of offering alternatives to abortion. APCC provides--as it is able-- some diapers, baby and toddler clothing, and maternity clothes  It also provides post-abortion counseling. It is supported strictly by donations and is staffed by volunteers. It is an interdenominational Christian ministry. You may bring donations of diapers to St. Joseph Parish Office, and please let them know that the diapers are a donation for Amistad Pregnancy Care Center. Or you may call Rosie Aguilar at 830-734-2699. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity! Cami Murphy Rosie Agui

Letter to the Editor, "The Right View" discusses gene editing You’ve heard of the women from the talk show “The View”; well this is a segment from the women of “The Right View”. Antonietta: Gene editing allows scientists to alter the genetic code of a human embryo to change the child’s eye color, hair color, sex, and other features. Francesca: Currently, these procedures are either illegal or considered not safe enough for practice, but scientists are quickly seeking to change that.   Benedicta: Tiny humans are being thought of in the same context as we choose the model, make, style, and color of a new car.   Juana Paula: If I were to apply that standard to adults and comment about someone being the wrong size, color, or gender, I would quickly be called a racist, bigot, or hater. But somehow it’s okay to apply this st
