Father Stu: Reborn - Mark Wahlberg: I want this movie to help people regain their faith

Image
“Father Stu” Returns To Theaters Father   Stu :  Reborn  is a new PG-13 cut releasing exclusively in movie theaters  December 9.   Hollywood actor and producer Mark Wahlberg and Sony studios  are re-releasing in theaters a new PG-13 version  of Father Stu, a film about an ex-boxer turned Catholic priest after a horrendous auto injury.  The film premiered earlier this year with an R-rating. Wahlberg recently explained why it will be re-released. “Well, given the nature of the R-Rated movie, lots of families didn’t feel comfortable with their children seeing it, but they really wanted them to get the message,” Wahlberg told Fox News.  “So because the Archbishop Thomas of Nevada — who actually ordained Father Stu in Helena, Montana, came to me and said, ‘Mark, I understand why the language is there but it would be a sin and a shame for young people not to see this movie and to really understand the importance of this story.’” “So we wanted to make sure that we would share that with childr

Jesus Christ is the Ultimate Counter-Narrative

Image
Personal reflection: Thank God for sending His Son Jesus Christ as the Ultimate Counter-Narrative to all the false and fake man-made narratives. The Christ-like mind thoroughly penetrates all aspects of a civilization and people are born to a new life here on earth and life everlasting with God in Heaven. The woke mind virus like all other ideas and ideals that don’t have Christ as the Center of their life will be destined to keep people spinning and swirling toward their eventual destruction and demise. Christ came as the counter-cultural narrative for His time and for all time. Outside of Christ’s narrative, there is no other narrative. Only Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

How did America Become a Criminal Enterprise by Gene Chapman

Image
When I was in the fourth grade, I began to read the simple orange backed biographies of America’s founding greatness, based upon the highest morality. Washington, Jefferson, Madison, all were men of impeccable honesty.   Lincoln was my favorite, known for walking miles in the wilderness to return a book he had been loaned to read.   I did so, because I wanted to be found semi-intelligent in our evening front porch political discussions of Roosevelt, with my brilliant older brother, and my Lincoln like solemn Father. We have become nothing more than a Chicago mafia today! Because I know the difference. Rasmussen finds that only 28 percent think we are going in the right direction, about the same percentage who embrace being democrats. Fifty-seven percent strongly think our elections or fraudulent, with 30 percent thinking it’s likely. Only seven States don’t tax your retirement income, heating oil is unaffordable, and Massachusetts citizens will freeze, not understanding if governme

A Blessed Thanksgiving by Coalition for Canceled Priests

Left to Right: Father James Altman,  Father Henry Clay Hunt, III,  Father Paul Kalchik, Father John Lovell Coalition For Canceled Priests Saint Bernard’s Memorare was used as an “express one-day” novena by Saint Mother Teresa to our Blessed Mother for the grace of urgent favors. She repeated the prayer  nine times . Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly onto you O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the word incarnate, despise not my petitions… (State your request… ) but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen. [Repeat nine times]

The first Thanksgiving on American soil was held by Spanish Catholics, not the Pilgrims by LifeSite

Image
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida ( LifeSiteNews ) — The first Thanksgiving in the United States does not go back to Plymouth Rock in 1620, but rather to Spanish Catholics in  1565 in St. Augustine, Florida. The town, named because the area was first spotted on the feast day of St. Augustine, is the site of the country’s first Thanksgiving. “On September 8, 1565, with much pomp and circumstance and 600 voyagers cheering, [Spanish military leader Don Pedro Menéndez de Avilés] set foot on the shores of Florida. In honor of the saint whose feast day fell on the day he first sighted land, Menéndez named the colonial settlement St. Augustine,” according to a  historical brief  on the city’s website. “Menéndez quickly and diligently carried out his king’s instructions. With brilliant military maneuvering and good fortune, he removed the French garrison and proceeded to consolidate Spain’s authority on the northeast coast of Florida,” the city’s website explains. “St. Augustine was to serve two purpos

1492: Conquest of Paradise - The bell scene

Image
An amazing scene from "1492 - Conquest of Paradise", the 1992 movie by Ridley Scott about the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus. Starring Gerard Depardieu, Armand Assante and Sigourney Weaver, with a great music score by the Greek composer Vangelis. "My dear sons, In unbearable heat, we are building the first city of the New World. I brought the plans of a Florentine architect, Leonardo da Vinci. God willing, we will establish his ideal city. We are trying to adapt to the Indian diet. Meat is only a memory for us. But in less than a week, the mill will be ready to produce our first flour. Soon, we'll be eating our own bread. Never again will I underestimate its taste or the simple comfort of home. You are always in my thoughts. Forever, your Father." Personal reflection: Let the church bells ring in all the Catholic Churches throughout the world. Let the people be reminded to make the Sign of the Cross and kneel to worship God. In the Name of

The Republicans Received near Six Million More Votes, Little Change by Gene Chapman

Image
The Democrats must kill Trump’s Populist revolution, creating jobs and equal opportunities for minorities, single women, to acquire wealth in dignity, no longer needing soul destroying free stuff, for the democrat voter base advantage. They have destroyed families, rewarding single parents with higher funding, while punishing stable families purposely, to keep them on the voting plantation. No Democrat ever voted to free the slaves, and no Republican ever voted not to free the slaves. Trump’s economy produced nearly 6000 new millionaires in four years, while Obama’s economy produced, perhaps two thousand in eight years, many, or most government officials. They must kill Trump’s populist movement, to destroy the American Dream.   Communist leader Lenin drilled into his foot soldiers to first, separate the people from their history, and they are easily persuaded. How many Americans know that the democrat party is the Party of slavery, segregation, secularism, and Critical Race Theo

Sunday, November 20, 2022 - Solemnity of Christ the King, Lord of the Universe

Image
Pope Pius XI issued the encyclical Quas Primas , which added the feast of “Our Lord Jesus Christ the King” to the annual Church liturgical calendar and in order to acknowledge perpetually the supremacy of Jesus Christ over all men, nations and earthly allegiances. Jesus Christ is not only King of this world, reigning among nations today; He is also the eternal King, glorified by the saints in heaven, who will one day come to judge all humankind.  The pontiff pointedly reminded national governments, “Christ, who has been cast out of public life, despised, neglected and ignored, will most severely avenge these insults; for His kingly dignity demands that the State should take account of the commandments of God and of Christian principles, both in making laws and in administering justice, and also in providing for the young a sound moral education” (No. 32).  What does this “power” of Jesus Christ the King consist?  It is not the power of the kings or the great people of this worl

Spotlight on the Power of the Litany of the Saints and the Litany of Loreto by Pray and Fast for America

Spotlight on the Power of the Litany of the Saints and the Litany of Loreto These ancient prayers—the Litany of the Saints and the Litany of Loreto—are two of only six litanies approved for public recitation by the Holy See.  The Litany of Loreto (The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary) Approved in 1587 by Pope Sixtus V, this popular prayer of supplication was once prayed in processions to atone for sins and to prevent calamities.  This beautiful litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary dates back to the Middle Ages and has been faithfully prayed by pilgrims at the famous Marian shrine of the Holy House at Loreto, Italy. It extols many of the virtues of the Blessed Mother, giving her honor and invoking her assistance under many of the titles given to her by the early Church in the first few centuries of Christianity.  Let us once again seek her assistance in atoning for the great sins of our country and protection of our country.    The Litany of the Saints The Litany of the Saints is an anc
