The apple appears appealing

Image
We keep repeating the same mistakes that were committed in the Garden of Eden. God says we can’t have that, the more we think we want it. We don’t realize what we have until we lose it. It’s not the apple that’s tempting, it the tempter who makes it appear sumptuous when it is really sinful. We defiantly say, "God can’t tell us what to do, we do what we want to do". Yet when the evil one tells us what to do, we do it. The evil one says, "God lies", when he is the one who is lying. Don’t listen to liars, they are only seeking to ensnare us. The evil one speaks charmingly and ever so convincingly. “Hey cutie!” the evil one approaches Eve with what will become the worst pick-up line in history, yet apparently Eve falls for it. “Who me?” Eve beguilingly inquires. Knowing full well that it’s only her and Adam in Paradise. And it begs the question, "Where is Adam?" We all want to shout, "Run away from the evil one Eve!" But ...

Personal prayer, reflection, and study on the letter by Marian Casillas, Ed.D. - “We Will Come to You: United in Solidarity with Our Brothers and Sisters in Migration” by Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller

Personal prayer, reflection, and study on the letter by Marian Casillas, Ed.D. “We Will Come to You: United in Solidarity with Our Brothers and Sisters in Migration” by Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller It is stated in the letter that, “We are encouraged to use it for personal prayer, reflection, and study”, and this is what I have set out to do to the best of my God-given ability. Throughout the letter the situation is incorrectly labeled as “immigration enforcement”, when in reality it is “illegal immigration enforcement”. There is a vast difference between legal and illegal immigration, between migrants and immigrants. However, the letter never precisely defines the terms immigrants and migrants, purposefully using them interchangeably, thereby, edifying, enhancing, and elevating further the continuance of conflict and confusion. According to the International Catholic Migration Commission, “An immigrant is a person who moves to a foreign country to live there permanently, while a mi...

God is EVERYTHING

Image
Why seek from the world what the world cannot give? Why wander throughout the world chasing after fleeting fantasies and passing pleasures? Why waste time wishing and wanting what the world has to offer? Those who have God have everything they need. They have so much more than they could ever want or could even imagine. To have God is to have a taste of Heaven here on earth. To have God is to rest in God’s Eternal Love. To have God is to have the most Glorious Gift of all. We all have God, only most of us don’t even know it.

My Master is Divine Mercy

Explosive anger is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.   The other person doesn’t get hurt or harmed, but you do.   The murderous monster is not my master.   My Master is Divine Mercy.
