The apple appears appealing

We keep repeating the same mistakes that were committed in the Garden of Eden.

God says we can’t have that, the more we think we want it.

We don’t realize what we have until we lose it.

It’s not the apple that’s tempting, it the tempter who makes it appear sumptuous when it is really sinful.

We defiantly say, "God can’t tell us what to do, we do what we want to do".

Yet when the evil one tells us what to do, we do it.

The evil one says, "God lies", when he is the one who is lying.

Don’t listen to liars, they are only seeking to ensnare us.

The evil one speaks charmingly and ever so convincingly.

“Hey cutie!” the evil one approaches Eve with what will become the worst pick-up line in history, yet apparently Eve falls for it.

“Who me?” Eve beguilingly inquires.

Knowing full well that it’s only her and Adam in Paradise.

And it begs the question, "Where is Adam?"

We all want to shout, "Run away from the evil one Eve!"

But why does she stay and listen to the evil one?

Why does she carry on a conversation with the evil one?

Eve had everything she wanted except the apple.

God says no, the evil one says yes.

We want what we can’t have and we’re willing to risk it all to have it.

The longer we listen to lies, the more we’re going to be persuaded.
