More mockery!

Personal reflection:

Unfortunately the historic Cathedral only serves as a backdrop.

The Cathedral is like a cut-up doll to be whimsically dressed up according to the wants and wishes of the archdiocese's public relations department.

Their motto must be to be cute and clever and forget about being Catholic.

Mexicans are typically stereotyped with "taking siestas" and "making fiestas"; and unfortunately the archdiocese's publicity department continues to perpetuate those stereotypical images and ideas.

What the archdiocese's publicity department should be publicizing instead, is Catholic images and ideas.

Let the world partake of their siestas; however, as Catholics we must be awake and active with the grace of the Holy Spirit inspiring us to build the Kingdom of God.

Let the world partake of their fiestas; however, as Catholics we must celebrate the Feast Days designated by Holy Mother Church.

The Catholic Feast of San Fernando should be celebrated instead of the Cultural Fiesta of San Fernando.

San Fernando, pray for us.
