It’s All Coming Back to me Today by Gene Chapman
I watched Queen Elizabeth’s funeral service this morning at Edinburgh, Scotland. My double great Grandfather Alsobrooks came to America from the British Empire, likely in the early 1700's. My brother, Walter Stinson’s research discovered that he owned three sections of land, extending in every direction around our Beulah home. My very earliest memories of life were of our old Alsobrooks home with a Dog Trot dividing the living room, an expansive kitchen from several bedrooms, one of which was great Uncle John Alsobrooks, and fireplaces. I remember the old deserted Alsobrooks Road, which was once the center of life, no more than a stagecoach, wagon or horse ridden capable then and today, joining the Beulah Road at the Beulah Church. Our land included the Beulah public Cemetery, and the Church was north of the Beulah Road, but the Alsobrooks Cemetery was across the road on the south side, which Stinson and I found fascinating. Our great Grandfather Alsobrooks and his father were buried there, along with our grandmothers, aunts, and uncles, with elaborate headstones, dating back to being born in pre-Revolutionary years. There were rumors of numerous slaves buried in the neglected woods adjacent to our Grandparent’s, with stories of their kindness for them. My father, born in 1893, was well loved by the older Blacks, with memories of the distant past, of which I am most proud.
When we were
young children, Stinson and I attended funerals, and occasional services at the
old Beulah Church, built so long ago, still standing. I was overwhelmed today
to hear one of the same old Hymns at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, we sang at the
old Beulah Church. I was reconnected with my long-deceased Alsobrooks forefathers,
in an eerie moment in time.
I’ve always
felt a kinship with England. My father loved the music of a fox race and
allowed me to go with him as a third grader, after constant badgering. We had
many memorable moments together, casting the hounds down the old Alsobrooks
fence line behind the Beulah Church. We never killed a fox, only running them,
to hear every octave in the musical language in a roaring fox race, the Angles
stoop to hear. We had a family of black
legged grey fox, who would run three to four hours, before treeing, a hundred
yards or so behind the Church. We gathered our hounds and left them safe, to
run again. Later in life I breed three
State Champion Fox hounds, writing hunting stories in the International Stud
Book of Fox hound registration. I always thought that was my Alsobrooks part of
our Chapman DNA. More importantly, I thought it was the reason for a stiff
upper lip acceptance of life as it came, dealing with it.
My father
was always interested in international politics, having spent time in England
and France during World War one. After working the fields, and attending our
livestock, most every evening we sat on our front porch in the cooling breeze,
watching soul stirring sunsets, and hearing the first Whippoorwill’s plaintive
cry of the night. We most always talked politics and war, Roosevelt, Churchill,
General Charles De Gaulle, Eisenhower, McArthur, Patton, and British General
Montgomery, often joined by neighbors. Our Constitutional Republic was safe,
our future secure, with most everything we needed, produced on the farm. I could have never imagined the chaotic Joe
Biden presidency of today.
But then
came the sixties, and an unsettling change that has transformed America into
something we were never intended to be.
We are this very day in ominous danger of losing our safe Republic, to a
direct democracy with voters voting for a living in socialism, morphing into
Communism with authorial control. Losing
our free-market opportunity greatness, to the whims of big government deciding
our very fate.
They first made
God politically incorrect, slowly converted education into indoctrination, and
now with a bureaucratic Deep State, determined to rule over the people’s will as
president, for permanent control. Who would have thought we would ever have a
Department of Injustice openly working with Mafia tactics, to make the innocent
guilty, and the guilty innocent. That’s exactly what happened. Who among you
would agree that destroying thousands of subpoenaed e-mails, hammer destroying
phones, all to avoid criminal transparency was not a crime? Any of you think true
justice is the Biden DOJ and FBI securing and hiding Hunter Biden’s crime ridden
computer he forgot to pick up. They called it all Russian disinformation before
the 2020 Trump election, only to make Biden viable. That’s what one gets with
Chicago Hope and Change transformation.
Biden didn’t
challenge Hillary Clinton in 2016, mostly because Obama knew he wasn’t up to
the task. On the other hand, a brash talking Trump outperformed John McCain and
Mitt Romney in preceding presidential races of 2008 and 2012—by 3 million and 2
million votes, receiving nearly 63 million votes, surprisingly winning. In the 2020 election, Trump received an
astounding record 74,216,154 votes, more than Obama’s 65,915,285 winning edge
against Romany in 2012. But Biden’ 81,269,924 votes set a record, likely never
to be broken, campaigning from his basement. IT SIMPLY WAS NOT POSSIABLE!
I
had received a video in October 2020, of Biden promising big money Las Vegas donors,
that the Democrats had a fool proof scheme to steal the election, without possibility
of exposure, and he would be our next president. And that’s the way it was, to America’s
greatest peril! Our far-left dominant
media has made it a “hate crime” to disagree, calling it the most secure
election in all our history! Now the democrats are telling us that we have
closed borders with millions of illegal aliens flooding our shores. They say no
inflation with the Dow down near 1300 points as I write, due to inflationary
hard times coming. All caused by Joe Biden’s ridiculous vote buying, nation
destroying spending policies!
This,
on the very day the Biden administration chose to brag and celebrate his
Inflation Reduction Act, with mostly cheering government workers on the White
House lawn. While Joe was shouting how great his policies were, the Inflation
rate rose from 8.1 to 8.3 as James Taylor sang his song about suicide. Isn’t
God great! The markets deal in facts,
but democrats are dealing with disinformation, determined to kill our free
market greatness in freedom, leading the world for good, until this destructive
Hope and Change transformation is complete. Is it finally Communism with
democrats in permanent control, never losing another election?
Biden
was handed a booming economy, and reversed every Trump policy within his power,
including the long-sought Keystone pipeline connecting Houston to Canada crude oil.
He sent John Kerry to Iran with a plane load of cash, reversing Trump’s
policies favoring Israel, and his Abraham Peace Accords, actively working for a
peaceful Middle East. Today Iran, with American funds, is closer than ever to a
nuclear bomb, working on a rocket delivery system. Ever think about how easy it
would be to pay the Cartel, and slip one across our open border, making 9-ll a
picnic? Our stock market is down 6000
points, costing investors $7 trillion before Mondays over 1200-point loss. Many of Trumps, near 6000 new millionaires are
now mere former status, and all are feeling much less secure, losing hundreds
of thousands. The fed is sure to raise rates by 75 basis points, perhaps 100 soon,
to squeeze inflation, but raise interest rates, slowing the economy. Inflation loves Biden like the devil loves
sin, with today’s dollar worth 87 cents. I hope you remember Trump’s 1.5 inflation
rate, sound money and booming economy.
It
will take years to dig out of Biden’s blunders. Trump filled our Strategic
Petroleum Reserve caverns too full capacity, when oil was cheapest, in the
twenty dollar a barrel vicinity, thanks to fracking. Oil today is near $100,00 a barrel. The oil
reserves are a safety net in the event of war primarily, or hurricane destroyed
refineries secondarily. Biden has recklessly been attempting to keep gas prices
lower until after the midterm elections. He even sold five million barrels,
mostly to China, as their economy is rapidly slowing, with an unpublicized
covid outbreak. Our Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) has not been this low since
1984 then at 450 million barrels. We are today lower, at 425 million barrels
with Biden still using it to make you think his economy is improving, while he
still has his foot on American oil production in the name of global warming. America
has world dominant, 300 years of fossil fuel under foot, the world safest
nuclear energy production we could pragmatically use for comfort, while discovering
future, sufficient sources of energy. However, Biden’s democrat rule ends, it
can’t be good for your future wellbeing!
I
was for, and wrote editorials favoring Ted Cruz, having friends on his staff,
and loudly against Trump in the 2016 primary election.
But watching Trump’s early transparent televised meeting with entrepreneurs of
all ethnic persuasions without prejudice, I was impressed. He started every meeting with a prayer, respected
America and I really loved the way the secular media despised it. They
discussed what government needed to do, to best promote business success, and I
could feel the excitement. Trump was different, a new populous Republican who
was interested in building ever greater economies with opportunities of for a
massive middle class. My friends in the Republican establishment watch suspiciously,
and the Democrats knew their rule was over with a happy prosperous America, and
fewer voters needing moldy cheese. And the media hate Trump crescendo rose
decibels higher in desperation, in schemes of how can we find or create a crime
on this fool making America great again, taking away our control and losing years
of public leftist indoctrination?
We’ve
had three great economy building presidents in our history, Calvin Coolidge, (I
learned that on our front porch) Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump. All three
used essentially the same polices. Lower
taxes, fewer regulations,
rewarding
individual and entrepreneurial productivity. And Trump’s recovery was best of
all, rewarding the bottom half at a higher percentage than the top half. If
America is wise, she will reject with gusto this wide-awake criminal injustice
the leftist Democrats have foisted upon us for political control. Then rush
back to Lady Liberty blindfolded justice that made America the greatest nation
in the history of humankind. We were never intended to be a Banana Republic,
but a proud Constitutional Republic under God, with the rule of honest law. That’s why the world beat a path to our
Republic, the kind rule of justice, equally applied to the downtrodden and
mighty with the same yard stick.
The
only reason our economy is still trying to create jobs, is because the
Democrats have been unable to raise taxes with a 50-50 Senate. If we want to be
great and kind again, we must reject this nation destroying criminal top-down
mafia rule, elect Trump for a third time, and restore the greatness we deserve.
Otherwise, our sad fate will be well deserved.
