It’s been 25 years since the first iteration of the COVID virus in the year 2019 spread throughout the world, and now that COVID-44 has emerged in the year 2044, an entire generation has never known anything else except life in lockdown.

The reason everyone is still in lockdown is because no successful vaccine has been produced to counter the deadly viruses. Well, actually it’s not so much that the viruses are any more deadly than any other diseases; it’s just that people are more deathly afraid of being infected with this particular type of illness.

People have tried to bravely battle against the lockdowns, but have been summarily submerged into oblivion never to be heard from again, because they have been brutally bullied by the media to keep quiet. And so fewer and fewer voices contradicting the standard narrative have been allowed to be heard. All that is heard through all the media venues are the doom and gloom stories spreading the fear more than the viruses have been spread, and causing the population to cower in their homes and not dare to step outside for fear of having a droplet of these viruses land on their face and cause them to die. Everyone lives at home and everything is done online. Groceries are ordered online and drones deliver the purchases to the front door. Classes are taught virtually and lessons are learned by distance learning. Church services are live streamed. Telemedicine takes care of all the doctor visits.

Before anyone can have a face-to-face meeting they must be tested to make sure they are not infected with any of the various viruses and will not infect others. There are hygienically, specifically-made-places for people to come-in-contact with each other for reasons of meeting and greeting, especially for coming together to form another family unit, separate and apart from their original family unit. Life goes on, or more-to-the-point, it drones on. There is an entire generation who has never experienced what life was like before the COVID-19 pandemic began.
