Dora Diaz Alcalá, age 84, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 25, 2011 here in Del Rio.

She was born September 8, 1926 in Del Rio.

Preceding her in death was her sister, Alicia Carranza Diaz, and brother, Carlos Diaz Jr.

Surviving family members include her beloved husband of 56 years, Leopoldo Alcalá of Del Rio; Dora is also survived by a niece and nephew.

Visitation was held yesterday at the funeral home chapel.

A Mass of Christian burial will be this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

Interment will follow at the San Felipe Cemetery.
