Deceased: Irma Esqueda - First President of The Legion of Mary in Del Rio, Texas

Irma C. Esqueda, age 89, entered into eternal life on January 6, 2011. Irma was born to Felix and Carolina Sanchez Esqueda on November 12, 1921 at Del Rio, TX.


She had worked as a Registered Nurse (BSRN) for many years.

Irma is survived by her sisters: Berta Esqueda, Carolina Garza and Esperanza E. Cortes; brother-in-law: Ruben Garza, Sr. and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and also on Monday, January 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM both days at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday evening. The Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in San Antonio. A graveside service will begin at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Del Rio, TX.
