The Legion of Mary has been invited by the family of Elsa Rodriguez, who was a Legion of Mary active member, to pray the Scriptural Rosary on Monday, February 2 at 7:00 pm at Trinity Mortuary - 206 Kings Way. May our beloved Sister in Christ rest in God’s Eternal, Joyful and Glorious Peace

                                                                                                               

Elsa Guadalupe Delgado died peacefully on January 21 in Visalia, California at the age of 82.

Elsa is survived by her loving sister, Alicia Guerra of Lodi, California. Her five children, Robert Rodriguez Jr. of Del Rio, Texas, Yvette Burnett(Bill) of San Jose, California, Rose Johnston (Greg) of Round Rock, Texas, Laura Biggs (Bob) of Visalia, California, and John Rodriguez (Veronica) of Morgan Hill, California. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Elsa is preceded in death by her husband Robert V Rodriguez, parents, Simon and Herlinda Delgado of Del Rio, Texas

Elsa was born on November 22, 1932 in Del Rio, Texas to Simon and Herlinda Delgado. Elsa married Robert V Rodriguez, in 1950 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church in Del Rio, Texas. After moving to San Jose, California, Elsa enjoyed working with the American GI Forum, San Felipe Ex's and St. Lucy's Catholic Church. She returned to Del Rio, Texas in 1978 where she renewed friendships, and mentored young ladies through "La Communidad." Elsa was a long time member of the Pan-American Club, enjoyed cooking, gardening, and evening of Bingo.

Visitation will be held Monday, Feb 2nd, from 5-9, with a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at Trinity Mortuary beginning at 1 p.m. with a Mass to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2 p.m. Interment will be at San Felipe Cemetery. All are welcomed to attend, and celebrate Elsa's life.
