Archbishop celebrates his first year of service

"My dear sisters and brothers in the Lord, it almost does not seem possible that it has been a whole year already since we first gathered in prayer in the plaza outside this cathedral on the evening before my installation as your Archbishop.
I acknowledged that evening that you undoubtedly wanted to know who I am, what kind of bishop I am, what the future of our local church will be...I told you that this will become clearer as we get to know one another in the days and months and years that lie before us.
That first evening I simply wanted to share with you-briefly-my deepest faith and prayer and love for you. You and I have gotten to know one another better.
What is truly important, however, is our relationship with God, and our life in Him."
