Down deep inside we all want to really live our life in a way that is noble, courageous and generous. We can all do this by letting God be the Hero in our story, by letting God be the Hero in everyone's story. Ponder the message with an open heart. In that space of hungering for something fresh and new, like opening the windows in a stuffy room and having the winds of the Spirit blow through clearing out the cobwebs. This means that we talk as little as possible and listen more to God. It is our job to point out God's constant, still presence in people’s lives, and turn their gaze in that direction. Let God be the Hero in our story is such a gentle way for God to hold our hand. It is like walking into a room full of people and not saying a word, but staring at a beautiful painting on the wall. "May the God of your Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, grant you a spirit of wisdom and insight to know him clearly. May he enlighten your innermost vision." (Ephesians 1:17-18) The words "Spirit of Wisdom and Insight" and "Innermost Vision" resound and resonate within us. It is not what we perceive on the outside rather what we envision in our innermost being that truly matters and is of enormous consequential significance. Unfortunately we get distorted, deformed and demoralizing sights and sounds from all around us. We are constantly being bombarded with television and computer screens blaring sights and sounds that are nothing but highly addictive and toxic noise pollution and glaring image pollution. It is called new, innovative and technologically advanced, but there is nothing new about it, it is as old as Adam and Eve eating of the forbidden fruit and Adam blaming Eve in the Garden. People are desperately seeking and searching, looking for easy answers, quick fixes to all the problems in their life. Ultimately we are all seeking and searching for the truth, but sometimes we fall for destructive lies and deceptions. We all are in need of guidance and direction in life, but sometimes we are misguided, misdirected and led astray until we find ourselves wandering and wayward. We all want to be happy in life, but sometimes we are looking for happiness in all the wrong places, with all the wrong people, and through all the wrong things. The so called secrets of life are selfish and self seeking when they make us into gods. We are not in control, God is in control. We are not the masters of our destiny; God is the Master of all our destinies. We are not number one, God is the only One. Jesus is the answer to all of our questions. Jesus is the solution to all our problems. Jesus is the only truth, the only way, the only life. Our life is empty, meaningless and void until

We thank you, Lord Jesus, because the Gospel of the Father's love, with which you came to save the world, has been proclaimed far and wide in America as a gift of the Holy Spirit that fills us with gladness. We thank you for the gift of Your Life, which you have given us by loving us to the end; your Life makes us all children of God, brothers and sisters to each other. Increase, O Lord, our faith and love for you present in all the tabernacles of the continent. Grant us to be faithful witnesses to your Resurrection for the younger generation of Americans, so that, in knowing you, they may follow you and find in you their only peace and joy. Only then will they know that they are brothers and sisters of all God's children throughout the world.
