Consequences of committing crimes

“safe space where families impacted by the criminal justice system”

Personal reflection:

What is a safe space?

According to Cambridge Dictionary: "a place or situation in which you are protected from harm or danger; a place or room, for example at a university, where people can go if they feel upset or threatened."

Shouldn’t all places under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese be safe spaces, unfortunately that it not often the case.

It is not “families that are impacted by the criminal justice system”; it is their family member who was convicted of committing a crime and is serving their sentence, that is the reason for families to have anything to do with the criminal justice system.
