Letter to the Editor, The huge Oscar mistake, nobody's perfect Whether you watched it or not, we’ve probably heard about the only thing people were talking about the Oscars. It’s not who won Best Actor or how many golden statues La La Land took home. It is how Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly called out the wrong winner for Best Picture. As the cast and crew of La La Land were mid-acceptance speech, someone ran out and declared that Moonlight had won Best Picture. Naturally chaos ensued. As actors, everyone covered it well on stage, but the fallout from this overwhelming misstep was felt and talked about for some time. Letter to the Editor, Amistoso and Friendly Lake Amistad Dam International Crossing is a dam that serves as an international bridge which crosses the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo. The dam connects the United States-Mexico border cities of Del Rio, Texas and Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila and is jointly owned by the United States Government and the Mexican Government. The international boundary crosses the center of the dam where Amistoso El Águila and Friendly The Eagle have majestically stood side by side atop Amistad Dam/Presa la Amistad for 48 peaceful and pleasant years. Letter to the Editor, Make America Godly Again On February 18 in Melbourne, Florida, the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, called the crowd to pray, bowing her head and leading The Lord’s Prayer. We have never seen a first lady start a rally with The Lord’s Prayer honoring God in such a humble way.   She was mocked and persecuted for doing this when instead she should be applauded for the courage she exhibited.   We should be proud of our First Lady. It is refreshing to see the First Lady of the United States recite The Lord’s Prayer in public. May we see prayer coming back, front and center after all these years, for it has been neglected for a long time!   May we reclaim our heritage as “one nation under God” and stand in simple humility and prayerfulness as Melania Trump did!
