"He will destroy... the web that is woven over all nations." —Isaiah 25:7 One possible meaning of Isaiah's prophecy is that the "web that is woven over all nations" (Is 25:7) is the Internet, or World Wide Web. The Internet literally is woven over all nations, connected by strands of wire, cable, and fiberglass. Some of you are on it at this instant, reading this very teaching from your e-mail inbox or at our web site, www.presentationministries.com . Thank God for you! A spider's web is woven for the purpose of ensnaring insects, leading to their death and consumption. Isaiah refers to this web as a "veil that veils all peoples" (Is 25:7). Scripturally, the word "veil" refers to the cloth in the inner sanctuary of the Temple that kept people away from God (see Lv 16:2). However, someday soon the Lord will destroy this web woven over all nati

(Received in email) Dear little handmaids and friends, In our Lady’s messages to Mirjana in Medjugorje in 2012, each of them ended with her request that we pray for our priests. I would like to suggest that we give our priests the gift of a novena of Divine Mercy chaplets, to begin on Christmas Day, December 25, 2012, and to end on January 2, 2012. We could choose one of the messages each of the nine days to guide our prayers. I implore you, pray for those whom my Son has chosen. Do not judge because you will all be judged. ” (Jan. 2, 2012) Again I implore you to pray for those whom my Son has chosen – those are your shepherds. ” (Feb. 2, 2012) Pray for those whom my Son has chosen that they can always live through Him and in Him – the High Priest. Thank you. ” (March 2, 2012) Pray for your shepherds that, united in my Son, they can always joyfully proclaim the Word of God. Thank you. ” (Mar. 18, 2012) Do not forget your shepherds. Pray that in their thoug

God's insight and understanding surpass our own. 2. God's compassion and forgiveness surpass our own. 3. God respects nature, our human make-up, and our innate propensities. 4. Imagine being a Catholic priest in Newtown, CT. Fr. Luke Suarez and Msgr. Robert Weiss serve at St. Rose of Lima parish in the heart of the shattered New England town. CV blogger Tom Crowe personally knows Fr. Luke as he was in seminary with him for a year. Tom also knows Fr. Luke's sister, who penned the note below. We send it along and hope you will be moved to act on her suggestion. - Your Friends at CatholicVote.org My friends, All of you, I am sure, have heard so much about the tragedy in Newtown, CT. Many of you have received emails from me about my younger brother, Father Luke Suarez, who is a priest at St. Rose of Lima parish, a Catholic church just down the road from Sandy Hook Elementary. He, and his pastor, Monsignor Weiss, arrived at the school within moments of the shooting, and have been caring for the community ever since. The picture I have included was taken at the school. Father Luke has an impossible task before him. His diocese is without a

“You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” My heart is saddened by the terrible loss of life at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. I pray for the repose of the soul of those many children and adults whose lives were ended in a tragic, violent moment. My heart breaks for the parents and families of all those who were taken from them so suddenly and in such a horrific way. We pray that their faith will sustain them at this time of great sorrow. I call upon the faithful to join me in prayer as we raise our voices in our faith and hope that Jesus has prepared a place for them in heaven as he has promised. Our Blessed Mother understands the pain of the loss of a child. Therefore, I pray for her intercession to bring comfort to those grieving at this time of heartbreak. May we also pray for all those who are victi

The Catechism of the Catholic Church brings light to the Scriptural truths of marriage: The matrimonial convenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring (1601). Holy Scripture affirms that man and woman were created for one another: "It is not good that the man should be alone...Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh...So they are no longer two, but one flesh" (1605). God Himself is the author of marriage (1603) .

Our Lady of Guadalupe Star of the New Evangelization

Happy Feast Day! The feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is joyfully celebrated today throughout the Americas. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego in 1531 with a message of hope. Through her intercession, millions of people were liberated from the demonic influence of the Aztecs, who practiced human sacrifice. Throughout the history of the Church, Catholics have turned to the Mother of Our Lord for strength, courage, and for her intercession during times of great trial and crisis. The stories abound. She never fails. She is the Star that points to her Son. Please join us today in praying to Our Lady of Guadalupe for our Church and our nation, that the hope of the New Evangelization may be realized. The following prayer is an excerpt taken from the words recited by Pope John Paul the Great at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1979: Mother of Mercy, Teacher of hidden and silent sacrifice, to you, who come to meet us sinners, we dedicate on this day all our being and
