Personal reflection:  

It is so disrespectful to say Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Raffle.

It is so demeaning to have the Holy Name of Our Lady and raffle together in the same phrase.

What’s with all the dollar signs ($) surrounding the announcement?

Recalls to mind Mr. Moneybags!

Yes, there’s going to be raffle that involves money: $10,000 to be exact.

Love of money is the root of all evil.

It’s not a GIVEAWAY. It’s a jackpot.

You have to purchase a ticket in order to win the raffle jackpot, so it’s not given away. 

It’s by chance, it's a gamble, that your ticket is drawn from among all the tickets sold that are placed in a spinning barrel.
