Imitation of MARTIN NIEMÖLLER’S poem: "FIRST THEY CAME FOR..." by Marian Casillas, Ed.D

Image
Personal reflection:  Wrote this in imitation of MARTIN NIEMÖLLER’S poem: "FIRST THEY CAME FOR..." First they came after the unmasked, and most did not speak out—because they obediently wore a mask everywhere, day-in and day-out, which is now proving to have be ineffective and caused more harm than good. Then they came after those who refused to lockdown, and most did not speak out—because they obediently remained a prisoner in their own home, which is now proving to have disastrous and damaging effects - socially, physically, psychologically, economically, etc. Then they came after the unvaccinated, and most did not speak out—because they obediently got injected with all the required shots and boosters, which are now proving to be more harmful and deadly than the disease    they were supposed to prevent or diminish the severity of the illness. Now they’re coming after the traditional Catholics —and most will not speak out because they obediently believe everything the go...

Life-affirming care instead of gender-affirming care

Image
Personal reflection: Definitions from "The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition" D efinition of gender :  Either of the two divisions, designated female and male, by which most organisms are classified on the basis of their reproductive organs and functions; sex. Definition of affirm :  To declare positively; assert to be true.  To declare support for or belief in. Definition of care :  Interest, regard, or liking.  Upkeep; maintenance.  Close attention, as in doing something well or avoiding harm. The life-affirming, earthly life and eternal life affirming definition of true gender affirming care:  Affirming boys in their biological maleness and affirming girls in their biological femaleness. Affirming boys in their masculinity and affirming girls in their femininity.  Affirming boys in their God-given gifts and affirming girls in their God-given gifts.

A Father’s Heart: The Miracles of St. Joseph Today Joseph of Nazareth, the humble figure barely mentioned in the Bible, has attracted the attention of people all over the world.  But why? What do we know about the real St. Joseph?  In A FATHER'S HEART, the filmmakers search over five continents for the people whose lives have been transformed by this mysterious man. Husband of Mary. Foster-Father of Jesus. Protector of the Church. Patron of the Dying. Terror of Demons. These are some of the titles attributed to this discreet and silent carpenter from Nazareth. The details of his earthly life may be a mystery, but the miracles that are attributed to him are life changing. A FATHER’S HEART features the powerful testimonies of those who have seen authentic miracles brought forth through the intercession of St. Joseph.  From radical conversions to impossible cures; from the rebuilding of broken marriages to aid to the dying - this compelling documentary film reveals just who ...

Saints quotes about Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

It’s not a career, it’s a calling from Christ

Image
“I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them.  This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep.  I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep.” - John 10: 11-15 Personal reflection: Do you personally know a good shepherd who would literally die for you so that you could live? If not, then immediately pray to God to lead you to one, and go out and search for one.  If yes, then thank God for giving you a good shepherd, and always remember to pray for him.

Just joking . . . . It’s not a joking matter by Marian Casillas, Ed.D.

Image
Personal reflection: It’s not that I don’t appreciate humor or jokes, just not during the Homily of the Holy Sacrifice of the  Mass, or after Holy Communion and before the Final Blessing and Dismissal. After Holy Communion and before the Final Blessing and Dismissal is a time of silence and solemnity with  prayers of thanksgiving for the great gift that we have received in the Eucharist and in the mystery of our redemption, by meditating and  reflecting upon the nature of communion with God Himself, and also what all of this means for us in our daily lives. If priests start their homilies with a joke then everything said afterwards will be taken as a joke, to be made fun of and ridiculed, to be demeaned and dismissed. Jesus was taken to be a joke, made fun of and ridiculed, demeaned and dismissed during his arrest and agony, from Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane to His death on the cross at Calvary, when the crown of thorns was pre...

Bravo Bishop Joseph E. Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas

Image
Personal reflection: The United States would be a very different place if every Catholic Bishop in every Catholic diocese would speak God’s Truth  powerfully and passionately with the force and fire of the Holy Spirit. Blessed Mother intercede for the bishops before the Throne of Almighty God. God bless us with  faithful, spirit-filled, and holy bishops  who speak God's Truth regardless of the persecution they may face. Most Victorious Savior, have mercy on the most vulnerable souls of the bishops. Come,  Holy   Spirit , fill the hearts of the bishops with all Your Graces and Gifts to renew the face of the world.

Merit matters not melanin (skin pigmentation)!

Image
Personal reflection:  Could it possibly be because the winners were all boys? Could it possibly be that of those boys, 9 out of 10 were brown skinned? Could it possibly be there were no so-called “trans” boys or girls? Instead of discontinuing the GeoBee, why not teach Geography as a subject again in schools? Will basketball tournaments, chess championships, or hockey games also be discontinued due to so-called "racial injustice"?  Always remember and never forget: Character counts not color! Merit matters not melanin!

Let the Catholic Church bells ring!

Image
Personal reflection:  But the ringing of the Catholic Church bells is considered disturbing the peace and noise pollution. Where there’s a void, it will be filled. Christianity is decreasing and Islam is increasing. Let the Catholic Church bells ring to pray the Angelus; morning, noon, and evening. If it’s allowed for mosques to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer on loudspeakers five times a day, then it should be allowed for Catholic Churches to ring bells three times a day. Give glory to God and not to false gods. The fall of Western civilization and the demise of American Christianity starts with not a shot fired, but with a loudspeaker blaring the recognition and celebration of a false religion. The conquest of America has started and we are impervious and indifferent. The Trojan horse is at our doorstep and we are allowing it to enter through the front door wide open, warmly welcoming our enemies, blindfolding ourselves to reality, and shooting ourselves in t...
