God is good, gracious, and generous with
His glorious graces.
While recently reflecting and pondering on
priorities and the temptations beset upon us by putting things off and
procrastinating, the realization came, that when putting God first then He
marvelously reveals a proper perspective to be seen with the eyes of faith, to
be heard with the ears of hope, to be spoken with the lips of love, and to be written
with the hands of joy.
God puts things in their proper place
and puts people in our path to do His Will and bring about the Kingdom of God
in our midst.
People sometimes laughingly refer to
Brackettville as the holy city, but there is much truth in that
description. During the Jubilee Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis
in 2016, the Archdiocese of San Antonio designated fifteen (15) churches, one
in each of the deaneries to lovingly receive the honor of being a pilgrimage
site, and from the Uvalde Deanery Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in
Brackettville was selected to be a Holy Door parish opening its doors in hopes
that all who enter would encounter and experience Christ.
A Holy Door is an ancient symbol of
Christ. “I am the gate/door. Whoever enters through me will be saved. I came so
they might have life and have it more abundantly.” - John 10: 9-10
Like in Jesus’ time people cynically
chided, "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" And the correct
response is, “Of course something good did come from Nazareth, Our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ!”
Likewise in our own time people
sarcastically sneer, "Can anything good come from
Brackettville?" And the correct response is, “Of course something
good does come from Brackettville, Father Henry Clay Hunt III is in
Brackettville!”
Sometimes the most precious gems are found in the most unlikely and unexpected of places.
A clump of coal can be miraculously
transformed into a dazzling diamond. Sometimes God surprises and shocks us when
we find buried treasure where some might consider a wilderness or a wasteland. Sometimes
God amazes and astonishes us with riches beyond belief where some might
consider a poor and pathetic place.
“What man among you having a hundred
sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and
go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he
does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and
says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’” – Luke 15:
4-6
“Or what woman having ten coins and
losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully
until she finds it? And when she does find it, she calls together her friends
and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin
that I lost.’” – Luke 15: 8-9
It takes the eyes of faith to see, the
ears of hope to hear, and a mouth full of love that enthusiastically exclaims,
“Eureka, Alleluia, come and see, hear, and proclaim what was thought to be
lost, now has been found!”
Father Henry Clay Hunt III, a canceled, persecuted priest resides in Brackettville offering his prayers and sacrifices for all of us.

How can the city of Brackettville not be
holy, with this holy man of God living there? Like Saint John the Baptist and
Saint Paul were converting people to Christianity back then, now Father Clay is calling Catholics to
repentance and reconciliation with the Eternal Truths of God when so many have
been led astray by false prophets and wolves in shepherds clothing.

He’s one of the good guys, because the
good guys always wear not only white hats, but better yet here in Texas during
the summer months when the sun is scorching hot they wear white cowboy hats out
in the open ranges and ranches. When the last cowboy wearing a white hat has
been driven out of Dodge, along comes a cowboy riding up into our digital
devices. He was thought to have been canceled, but wearing a white hat he comes
to defend the townsfolk from the cruel, evil, and villainous cowboys wearing
black hats. When all around us the cowboys wearing black hats are spewing
falsehoods and lies, God miraculously sends us a cowboy riding up into our
digital devices. He was thought to have been canceled, but he comes to defend
the True Teachings of Christ and His Church. We all know that in the end only
those wearing white hats will be left standing at the OK Corral.
Father Clay is like the Desert Fathers
living in the wilderness and calling people to conversion and confession, reversion
and repentance. He is like all those who were driven into exile because they
stood firm in their faith and would not compromise with the culture that accepted
and celebrated falsehoods and lies.

What’s more important and how is your
time best spent? Is it by feeding your stomach’s hunger pangs, or having clean

pangs, and have a spiritually stainless and spotless soul on the inside and not
just clean clothes to cover you on the outside? Now is the perfect time to listen
to some of Father Clay’s videos. You can invite family and friends to listen and
evangelize at the same time.
Please pray for Father Clay that he will
have all his priestly faculties restored so he can once again fully and
faithfully serve the people of God. Pray that Father Clay will one day soon
serve as pastor in this archdiocese which unfortunately finds itself in dire
need and with a dearth of good shepherds who feed their flock by satisfying
their spiritual hunger, provide lush pastures for them to roam freely about
doing the work of God, dig wells of refreshing water to quench their soulful
thirst, and learn to lead their lambs to life everlasting. God bless this
holy priest in the holy city of Brackettville so that the people of God can be
blessed, nourished, and sanctified with his God-given vocation to the
priesthood.

Let us always and everywhere choose to
be deeply and devoutly blessed, nourished, and sanctified. Because when we are
not being blessed we are being cursed; when we are not being nourished we are
being starved; and when we are not being sanctified we are being desecrated. It
may mean making many sacrifices, but for us and for our families and friends
Heaven is well worth it. The price of peace is priceless.
We must do everything we can during
these rough and tough times in order to protect our sanity and our sanctity. Saint
Robert Bellarmine said: “It would be the most miserable condition of the
Church, if she should be compelled to recognize a wolf manifestly prowling for
a shepherd.”
We have
an obligation to steer clear of people, places, and things that cause a threat
to our faith, be it firm or be it fragile. How much stronger is this duty
towards those who assert to rule us in religious matters? We have a
responsibility to protect ourselves and not place ourselves in peril of losing
our faith, safeguarding our own faith from those who are shown to be rapacious
wolves, not least by their refusal to correct themselves and to not continue preaching
and teaching half-truths, falsehoods, and lies, but to completely conform to profess
only the One True Faith of Holy Mother Church.
The winds may blow dust storms and
tumbleweeds across our perilous path, and life might seem dry as a desert, but
the Life-Giving Breathe of the Holy Spirit always refreshes and reinvigorates.
All we have to do is invoke His Holy Name and pray, “Come Holy Spirit!”
May Our Blessed Mother Mary and all the
angels and saints intercede for us on our journey to safely and securely
flourish and thrive in the true traditional teachings of the One, Holy,
Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

Dios es
bueno, misericordioso, y generoso con Sus gracias gloriosas.
Mientras
reflexionaba y deliberaba recientemente sobre las prioridades y las tentaciones
que nos persiguen al posponer las cosas y diferir las cosas, me di cuenta de
que al poner a Dios en primer lugar, Él revela maravillosamente una perspectiva
adecuada para ser visto con los ojos de la fe, para ser escuchado con el oído
de esperanza, para ser hablado con labios de amor, y para ser escrito con manos
de alegría.
Dios pone
las cosas en su lugar y pone a las personas en nuestro camino para hacer Su

veces se refiere, entre risas, a Brackettville como la ciudad santa, pero hay

“¿O qué
mujer que tiene diez monedas y pierde una no enciende una lámpara y barre la
casa, buscando con cuidado hasta encontrarla? Y cuando la encuentra, reúne a
sus amigos y vecinos y les dice: 'Alégrense conmigo porque he encontrado la

Se necesitan

nos envía milagrosamente a un vaquero avanzando hacia nuestros aparatos
digitales. Se pensaba que había sido cancelado, pero viene a defender las
Verdaderas Enseñanzas de Cristo y Su Iglesia.
El Padre
Clay es como los Padres del Desierto que viven en el desierto y llaman a la
gente a la conversión y la confesión, la reversión y el arrepentimiento. Él es
como todos aquellos que fueron llevados al exilio porque se mantuvieron firmes
en su fe y no transigieron con la cultura que aceptaba y celebraba las
falsedades y mentiras.

Escojamos
siempre y en todas partes ser profunda y devotamente bendecidos, nutridos, y
santificados. Porque cuando no estamos siendo bendecidos estamos siendo
malditos; cuando no estamos siendo alimentados estamos hambrientos; y cuando no
estamos siendo santificados estamos siendo profanados. Puede significar hacer
muchos sacrificios, pero para nosotros y para nuestras familias y amigos el
Cielo bien vale la pena. El precio de la paz no tiene precio.
Debemos
hacer todo lo que podamos durante estos tiempos difíciles y duros para proteger
nuestra sensatez y nuestra santidad. San Roberto Belarmino dijo: “Sería la
condición más miserable de la Iglesia, si ella se viera obligada a reconocer a
un lobo manifiestamente al acecho de un pastor”.
Tenemos la obligación de alejarnos de las personas, los
lugares, y las cosas que representan una amenaza para nuestra fe, ya sea firme
o frágil. ¿Cuánto más fuerte es este deber hacia aquellos que afirman
gobernarnos en asuntos religiosos? Tenemos la responsabilidad de protegernos y
no ponernos en peligro de perder nuestra fe; salvaguardando nuestra propia fe
de aquellos que se muestran como lobos rapaces, sobre todo por su negativa a
corregirse y a no continuar predicando y enseñando verdades a medias,
falsedades y mentiras, sino conformarse completamente a profesar sólo la Única
Fe Verdadera de la Santa Madre Iglesia.
Los vientos
pueden traer tormentas de polvo y plantas rodadoras a través de nuestro
peligroso camino, y la vida puede parecer seca como un desierto, pero el soplo
vivificante del Espíritu Santo siempre refresca y revigoriza. Todo lo que
tenemos que hacer es invocar Su Santo Nombre y orar, “¡Ven Espíritu Santo!”
Que nuestra
Santísima Madre María y todos los ángeles y santos intercedan por nosotros en
nuestro viaje para florecer y prosperar de manera segura y firmemente en las
verdaderas enseñanzas tradicionales de la Iglesia Una, Santa, Católica, y
Apostólica.
Dios bendiga a la ciudad santa de Brackettville.
Por
intercesión de Santa María Magdalena, ejemplo legendario de la misericordia y
la gracia de Dios y primer testigo de Su resurrección, que todos estemos algún
día en la Ciudad Eterna contemplando para siempre la Visión Beatífica.
