Statement by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops regarding the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas

 

Personal reflection:

I was reading the statement by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops, and I was all with them, until the last sentence, where they are on the wrong side of the issue.

It is not “gun violence”; it is humans using knives, guns, bombs, etc. as instruments of their violence.

It’s not the guns; it’s humans misusing the guns.

Only when life is respected from the womb to the tomb, from conception to natural death, and the violence of abortion and euthanasia are eliminated, will there be a culture of life and love.
