Tick-tock,
tick-tock, tick-tock
goes the
old-fashioned clock on the wall
When will
the next lockdown come down
no one
knows for sure
But as
sure as the nose on your face
it will
come knocking on your door
Lock the
door and shut it tight, day and night
Let no one
see you, let no one hear you
Let no one
smell you, let no one touch you
Let no one
greet you with a smile
because their
face is covered with a mask
Let no one
greet you with a handshake or a hug
because of
microbes that might be spread
and cause so
much sickness and so much death
Each one
of us has our own inner clock
that
started ticking at our conception
and will
stop ticking at our death
It has
been decreed that you must fear death
Life is so
precious that it must be lived in dread
Life is
worth living if only living is worth it
A life of
fear is a life that is not dear, oh dear
So hear
the clock ticking, day-in and day-out
The time
will soon come for another lockdown
Will it be
because of microbes
that have
spread, near and far
Or will it
be because the climate changed
that has
us all enraged
Or will it
be the great reset
that has
become the new mindset
There is
no way to escape it
no matter
how hard you try
Some will
live and some will die
Some will
have truly lived
while
others have merely survived
The
ticking it’s taking a toll
and the fear
and the fright is left to unfold
Open the
doors and let the sunshine in
Open your
heart and live your life
Tick-tock,
tick-tock, tick-
It took
your life without you even knowing it
The moment
you so dreaded
has come
to pass with your passing away
The last
tick did not have another tock
and there
is nothing else to talk about
except to
say rest in peace
You tried
to survive but never did live
because
you so feared death
you never
learned to live life
