Gasoline: Gushing or gutting? by Marian Casillas, Ed.D.
There is a stark contrast between the Trump Administration and the Biden administration over providing gasoline to its citizens to fuel the economy dependent on the automobile for transportation.
Will we soon be seeing the
long and winding lines of vehicles waiting to fill-up at the gas stations reminiscent
of the “energy crisis” during the tenure of Democratic President Jimmy Carter
who was held hostage by the Middle Eastern oil cartels who had a stranglehold
on the oil market economy? We were beholden and indebted to them to supply the
gasoline to run our gas-guzzling cars.
Under the Trump
Administration the United States was an equally wealthy, oil-rich country providing
the oil supply to run our nation and keep our vehicles zipping along at a much
lower gasoline price then we have experienced in a long time.
The doom-and-gloom
prognosticators would only report how disastrous the Trump administration policies
were for the planet, neglecting to mention how advantageous these policies were
for the American people.
The left-leaning moguls who
run the major television networks, newspapers, internet portals and social
media companies were aghast that the average-American was doing better and was
not at the mercy of liberals for their success.
Given a fair chance at a good-paying job most Americans will take that option instead of being economically enslaved by a welfare system that undercuts their productivity and independence, and forces upon them passivity and dependence on government assistance.
Most people want to work and be successful, that is the truth of
the intrinsic drive in a free and open society. The ethic of hard-work and a
strong motivational spirit has produced the most innovative and creative people
anywhere in the world.
Democratic President
Jimmy Carter had a very pleasant and peaceable personality; unfortunately, under
his administration the country underwent massive regulation measures and overburdening
taxation policies. Are we headed toward a similar path by another Democratic
President?
President Donald Trump is
a truth-teller and is portrayed by the fake press as being a terrible,
horrible, no-good man with an atrocious rough-n-tumble personality; fortunately,
under his administration the country was experiencing an economic boom with an
oil surplus and lower prices at the pump.
What would we rather
have: a president who has a passive, puppet-on-a-string personality like Biden or
a president with prolific and productive governmental policies and programs
that overwhelmingly benefit the American people like Trump?
