Praying for the President and First Lady

 

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for your goodness, peace, and deep care for your children. I pray today for President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump. I ask that you guide their leadership and that they would seek your wisdom in their decision-making. Lord, I pray for a relief from the stress of the office, especially now that they have contracted COVID-19. Father as you say in Psalm 121:

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

Lord, may they remember that their help comes from you. Please grant them a speedy recovery and may they be able to use this time to rest on your promises.
