Campaign 2020: 54-Day Rosary Novena

CHURCH MILITANT ELECTION NOVENA

The future of America is at stake

Catholics around the world are picking up their Rosaries — their spiritual weapon of choice — during this time of peril, as they have for centuries.

Catholics know it's a high-risk election that could alter the course of America and world history. They are responding with prayer and fasting, with faith and fervor — and there is no better way to do this than to pray the Holy Rosary.

"The Rosary is the 'weapon' for these times," Padre Pio said, and the Church Militant apostolate is heeding the saint's call to spiritual arms.

54-day Rosary novena begins on the Blessed Mother's birthday, Sept. 8, and runs up to All Saints Day, Nov. 1 (two days before the election).

Church Militant is inviting all Catholics to join in a 54-day novena prior to the November 3 election, which is being called "the most pivotal political moment" not only for the United States but for the world.

Our Lady gave a promise to one of her devotees, Fortuna Agrelli, a little girl in Naples, almost 150 years ago: "Whoever desires to obtain favors from me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving."

In that spirit, the first 27 days of the novena are devoted to petitioning the Blessed Mother to guide and grace the U.S. elections, and the second 27 days are to give thanks to Our Lord and Lady, whatever the outcome.

Novena participants must pray the Rosary for 54 consecutive days and consider the particular set of mysteries indicated for that day. (The Mysteries of the Rosary will rotate in the order following the life of Jesus: Joyful (J), Luminous (L), Sorrowful (S) and Glorious (G).

The stakes are higher than ever, making prayer, especially the Rosary, even more urgent.

"Donald Trump is the most pro-life president this nation has ever had, defending life at all stages," said Sr. Deirdre Byrne at the Republican National Convention. "His belief in the sanctity of life transcends politics."

Her sentiments have been echoed by Fr. Frank Pavone, executive director of Priests for Life, as well as multiple pro-life leaders, who have noted not only the many laws and policies Trump has supported protecting the unborn, but also the many measures protecting the elderly and disabled from euthanasia.

The president has also passed measures protecting faith-based businesses from secular bullying, defending the right of Christian employers to work without violating their conscience and promoting ideologies radically opposed to their beliefs, whether it's being forced to participate in same-sex weddings or, as in the case of the Little Sisters of the Poor, forced to cover contraception.

The Democrat contender, former vice president Joe Biden, calls himself a Catholic, yet has promoted abortion extremism for decades, even supporting laws allowing babies born from botched abortions to die without medical assistance. Byrne aptly described the Biden-Harris ticket as "the most anti-life presidential ticket ever, even supporting the horrors of late-term abortion and infanticide."

Biden has also done little to protect Christians from bullying from the LGBT or abortion lobby, denouncing and threatening to overturn the legal victory for the Little Sisters of the Poor as well as supporting the forcing of faith-based businesses to do the bidding of radical homosexual activists.

Church Militant invites all concerned Catholics to join this 54-day Rosary novena for the election. Please spread the word to family, friends and neighbors.

Saint Dominic (1170–1221), to whom the Blessed Mother gave the Rosary in an apparition, promised him, "You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary."
