“Creeps
and Pervs Broadcasting”
Last
year Time magazine heralded the year of ‘The Silence Breakers'.
Seven men from our
government sponsored radio and television stations were no longer working due
to claims of sexual harassment.
The
Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) now known as “Creeps and Pervs
Broadcasting”, along with National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting
System (PBS) are sponsored and subsidized solely by taxpayer funding and major
corporate donors.
In
August, John Hockenberry was jettisoned from his NPR program "The
Takeaway" with an audience of 3 million listeners on 270 stations.
In
October, NPR's former editorial director and then senior vice president of
news, Michael Oreskes was summarily ousted.
Also
in October, NPR host of Minnesota Public Radio, Garrison Keillor, creator of
"A Prairie Home Companion” was kicked-out.
In
November, Charlie Rose, PBS host of his show “Charlie Rose” and “CBS This Morning” anchor was removed.
Also
in November, NPR Chief News Editor David Sweeney was dismissed.
In
December, Tom Ashbrook, radio-host of NPR's "On Point" show broadcast
on 290 NPR stations, was axed.
Also
in December, PBS suspended Tavis Smiley, whose interview show “Tavis Smiley”
aired nationwide and also hosted a podcast on NPR.
These
seven men were entrusted according to their mission statement to “educate,
entertain and express a diversity of perspectives”.
They were not to make of
themselves all-powerful emperors in the publicly funded broadcasting empire.
This
is a golden opportunity for the President and Congress to keep our hard-earned tax
dollars from being dumped on this liberal, leftist-leaning media of national
radio and television stations and once and for all drain the swamps of NPR and
PBS.
Government-sponsored
radio and television should not be given our tax dollars to pay these “creeps
and pervs” their outrageous salaries and perks and make of them controlling and
powerfully influential-makers-and-breakers and thought-shakers in the media
conglomerate funded at the expense of the American people.
The time has come to
eliminate government sponsored media.
“All Things
Considered”, remember all these “creeps and pervs” were “Made possible by…..Viewers
like you."
