SUMMER MISSION PROJECT BRINGS JOY
Excerpts:
The
Eucharistic Missionaries of the Most Holy Trinity made their joyful, generous
presence felt throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio during a three week
“mission and service” experience organized by the archdiocesan Mission
Awareness Office.
Hospitality
for their three-week visit was offered by the Sisters of the Holy Spirit and
Mary Immaculate, parishioners of St. Joseph Church in Del Rio, and the
Congregation of the Divine Providence.
The
mission plan included visiting St.
Joseph Parish in Del Rio summer Vacation Bible School sessions and door-to-door
evangelization effort.
“The
Sisters were great!” Father Clay Hunt, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Del Rio
exclaimed. “They were a blessing to over 125 children in our summer
Vacation Bible School.”
They also left prayer cards with a special prayer to “Jesus in the
Sacrament of the Altar:
“Thank you, Lord, for the blessings that we receive from
you each day. Thank you, for all the joys that you offer me. Thank you for the
sadness that you send me. Thank you Lord, also because you preserve in my soul
the gifts of Faith, Hope and Love.”
