However,
one of our most cherished freedoms, our freedom of religion, is in danger of
being compromised by a proposed health care law that would force many Catholic
business owners to fund contraceptives and abortion inducing drugs.
As
the secular media likes to put their own spin on things, we'd like your help
letting other Catholics know about Fortnight for Freedom and our two news
programs: "EWTN News Nightly" and "The World
Over".
Closing Mass for Fortnight
for Freedom: At
11:30 p.m. CT on July 4, Cardinal Donald Wuerl will
conclude the two-week Fortnight for Freedom event with a closing Mass.
Archbishop Kurtz of Louisville has been selected as the homilist for this day and reminds us to remember our cherished freedoms on the anniversary of our country's independence.

EWTN is one of the many non-profit organizations that the law has deemed "not religious enough" to receive an exemption to the HHS mandate, forcing employers to offer contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs, so we need all the spiritual support we can get!
