Thank God for the Catholic Women’s Conference

at St. Joseph Church and Parish Hall

in Del Rio, Texas

 

Today we were encouraged and empowered

by our spiritual mothers, our spiritual daughters, our spiritual sisters with their testimony and teaching in Christ, through the power of words, the gift of words              

Today we were all given God's gift of forgiveness,
the gift that we are able to forgive God,
to forgive others,
to forgive circumstances that appear cruel,
to forgive situations of seemingly intolerable suffering,
to forgive those whom we love and have hurt us,
to forgive ourselves

Today we were all given God' gift of blessings
To see God's blessings
To hear God's blessings
To live God's blessings
To love God's blessings
We are blessings to each other

Today we were all given God's gift of prayer
To communicate with God
To speak with God and have God speak to us
To have God listen to us and to listen to God

Today we were given God's gift of coming together as Sisters in Christ sharing
our woundedness and our wonderfulness,
our struggles and our surprises,
our pain and our pleasure

God has called us, God is calling us, God will continue to call us to utilize our God given gifts, abilities, talents, skills

Let us go forth with God's forgiveness, God's prayers and God's blessings to live the lessons we have learned today
