please take time to…
REMEMBER the
54+ million lives destroyed by abortion and the 100+ million mothers and
fathers and families who have been hurt by this violent act.
REFLECT
on the fact that America has become a smaller country full of the walking
wounded—women and men broken by the abortion of a son, a daughter, a
grandchild, or a sibling. With one third of our population missing, our country
is hurting.
REPENT as a nation for our
leaders’ role in promoting and exporting abortion. Ask forgiveness for our
country’s leaders who advance this disastrous decision in an attempt to control
our population. Pray for forgiveness for those who fail to see the inherent
value of human life, made in the image and likeness of the Lord of life.
RESTORE the principle of safeguarding human dignity that is at the
foundation of our country’s governing ethos. Restore the American view that was
captured so eloquently by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence,
noting the priority of LIFE to be placed first in the list of unalienable
rights:
“We hold these truths
to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life . . . .
.”
It
is our hope that we can restore America by renewing each community for life,
creating a culture that acknowledges the unequivocal value of human life, a
culture that recognizes the inestimable value of every unborn child, a culture
where abortion is unwanted, and a society where abortion is unthinkable for
future generations.
