February 11: Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

In 1858 the Immaculate Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous near Lourdes in France, in the grotto of Massabielle. 


The Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on February 11, commemorates this wondrous event. 


Every year thousands of pilgrims make their way to the grotto to see the site of Our Lady's apparition.
