HOW TO KNOW GOD WELL
To know God is possible only by His grace. However, we can do several practical things to help us receive that grace.
A great Friend is waiting. Get to know Him better and He will be our delight.
Father, may the goal of each day of life be to know You better.
Daily reflection on the Eucharistic readings
- If we pray with others who also know Jesus because they are His friends, we will be able to learn from these other members of the body of Christ and come to know Him even better.
- If we go to Confession at least monthly, we will remove the sin which hinders communication with the Lord.
- If we read the Bible daily and especially if we hear it read at daily Mass, we will get to know the Lord well.
- If we simplify our life, we will remove a surprising number of distractions from our relationship with the Lord. As a guideline, try to cut back our possessions so that we have less stuff than we had ten years ago.
