August 15 - EWTN celebrates 29th birthday
In appreciation of the 29th birthday of EWTN and the gift of Catholic TV in our area, please take a moment to contact your program provider manager to say thank you. Let them know how much we appreciate them allowing Catholic programs to be broadcasted in our area and how grateful we are for their decision to keep EWTN on the air.
It is an appropriate time in lieu of the birth date of this first Catholic satellite television Network keep in your prayers the continued success of EWTN and to keep in mind the amount of trust and faith Mother Angelica had in God to start a Catholic Network with only $200, a garage, and a deep obeying love in Christ. Where would our world be without her evangelistic teaching on faith and morals, where would our country be, where would your faith be?

Oh God, Lord of heaven and earth.
You alone have accomplished all we had done.
May this first Catholic satellite television Network be a tribute to the beauty of Your Church.
May Your Son, the Eternal Work, be glorified through this great work of Your hands.
Bless all the programs that will issue forth from its facilities.
Just as Your Word issues forth from You, Lord Father, may that same Word touch each heart that listens to this Network.
Let Thy spirit work with freedom through every teacher who proclaims Thy truth and Thy Church.
Bestow upon this Network the power to inspire men to seek holiness of heart, zeal for the extension of Thy church, courage to seek after justice and human rights and the patience to endure persecution.
May Thy paternal blessing always rest upon it. Amen
