“A God who became so small could only be mercy and love.” - Saint Therese of Lisieux “How to find Christmas peace in a world of unrest? You cannot find peace on the outside but you can find peace on the inside, by letting God do to your soul what Mary let Him do to her body, namely, let Christ be formed in you.” - Fulton Sheen “We desire to be able to welcome Jesus at Christmas-time, not in a cold manger of our heart, but in a heart full of love and humility, in a heart so pure, so immaculate, so warm with love for one another. - Saint Teresa of Calcutta “The Eucharist began at Bethlehem in Mary’s arms. It was she who brought to humanity the Bread for which it was famishing, and which alone can nourish it. She it was who took care of that Bread for us. It was she who nourished the Lamb whose life-giving Flesh we feed upon.” - Saint Peter Julian Eymard “There were only two classes of people who heard the cry Christmas night: shepherds and wise men. Shepherds– those who ...

A Charlie Brown Christmas was first broadcast in 1965 on CBS. I was 8 years old and I was stunned at the time by the passage of Linus quoting the Gospel of Luke in explaining the true meaning of Christmas. Apparently CBS executives wanted to cut this passage out, but Charles Schulz, normally a fairly non-confrontational man, was adamant that it remain in. That was the most important battle Schulz waged and won over this first of the Charlie Brown specials, but there were many others. The CBS executives wanted a laugh track, they didn’t like using kid voice actors instead of adult voice actors and they thought that the jazz music throughout the show was too unusual for what they perceived as a show for kids. When the show was finished the executives were horrified and thought they had a major flop on their hands. The show was a critical and popular success, with 50% of all televisions in America tuned in to it when it was first broadcast....

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Catholic Christmas, by celebrating Midnight Mass or Christmas Day Mass and a most Holy Happy New Year 2023 AD, Anno Domini Latin for "in the year of our Lord" by starting the new year celebrating a Holy Day of Obligation The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God on January 1st. The Greatest Gift God gave us is The Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where we receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We receive Jesus Christ after having gone to the Holy Sacrament of Confession and not being in the state of grave, mortal sin. Celebrate the First Coming of Christ at Christmas by being conscious of our Eternity, and of how we will one day celebrate the Second Coming of Christ. Jesus comes to us at Holy Christmas, Jesus comes to us in Holy Communion, and Jesus will come to us at His H...

Personal reflection: Canceling priests always makes the evil one happy, and how happy the evil one must be that a high profile pro-life priest was canceled just in time for Christmas. The reason we celebrate Christmas is the Birth of The Baby Boy Born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. Christmas will always be about PRO-LIFE! God bless Father Frank Pavone and Priests for Life!

House Republicans and Texas bearing down hard December 16, 2022 The months-long surge of illegal immigrants on America's southern border has gone beyond crisis mode, and Catholic Charities has been at the center of it. Church Militant's Kristine Christlieb briefs us on how the Catholic nonprofit may be profiting illegally from the migration catastrophe. As Church Militant and the Lepanto Institute have been reporting for years, illegal immigration is a cash cow for nonprofit giant Catholic Charities. Four Republican members of Congress plus the state of Texas are hot on the charity's trail, both claiming some of its immigration activities may be illegal. Wednesday, in a letter addressed to the organization's Virginia headquarters, Congressmen Lance Gooden and Jake Ellzey of Texas, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin ordered the charity to "preserve all information related to any expenditures submitted for reimbursem...

Personal reflection: When Father Frank Pavone came to San Antonio, I was blessed to attend Mass offered by him, receive Holy Communion from him, and hear his energetic and enthusiastic pro-life message. Godly priests are taken down and Godless priests are elevated to the highest positions. The evil one wanted to get rid of the face and force of the Pro-Life Movement. But we know that every time the evil one raises its ugly head, Our Lady is there to crush it with the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart! Christ, graciously hear our pleas, our prayers, and our petitions. God bless Father Frank Pavone.
