Letter to the Editor, Run, Red, Run! Once there was a little girl who always wore her little red hoodie when she went out bike riding, so everyone called her Little Red Riding Hoodie. One morning, Little Red Riding Hoodie asked her mother if she could go to visit her big brother. "That's a wonderful idea," her mother replied.   So together they filled a backpack full of goodies. A few minutes later, Little Red Riding Hoodie knocked on her big brother’s door.  When Little Red Riding Hoodie saw her big brother she could scarcely recognize him. "But big brother, what big ears you have!" asserted Little Red Riding Hoodie. "The better to hear all the conversations you have." Letter to the Editor, CNN: Brain-washing machine Sitting in front of the television watching CNN is like sitting in front of a large front-load washing machine at the laundry-mat. Neither is fun to watch, both are routinely predictable and methodically mundane. The CNN brainwashing machine has three levels of scrubbing the news. The small load is the news ticker scrolling text along the bottom of the screen of headlines occurring off camera. The medium load is the three-minute segment made up of mostly sound bites fitting the leftist narrative and commentary by the so-called news-reporters but in reality opinion commentators. The large load are the town hall meetings and the documentaries that always feature the leftist agenda extolling the extremists emotionalism meant to convey and convince with feelings and not with facts. Letter to the Editor, Signs and symbols of sovereignty It is interesting to note that Hong Kong which finds itself in the throes of further impingement by the government of Communist China of overturning some vestiges of its former sovereignty, finds itself rallying in public protest utilizing the signs and symbols of the United States of America. Yet in the United States, it is ironic that some Americans are dishonoring and wanting to divest themselves from those very signs and symbols that are recognized worldwide as representing democracy and freedom. Among the millions of Hong Kong protestors there were some who were proudly waving the flag of the United States of America and singing the “Star Spangled Banner” the national anthem of the United States of America. Letter to the Editor, Abolitionists: On the right-side of history The book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” by Harriet Beecher Stowe, the true story of a slave family who endured the horrors of slavery, was the catalyst for effectively ending slavery in our country. Now there is a book/movie “Unplanned” by Abby Johnson, the true story of a former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director who had a dramatic life-changing experience and became a leading pro-life advocate, which is similarly having the effect of ending abortion in our country. The South desperately sought to preserve the sadistic institution of slavery. Like now, the radical-left is determined to maintain the repugnant institution of abortion. “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”  was banned in the South.
