Letter to the Editor, It’s Christmas-time in the neighborhood It’s Christmas Eve and the neighborhood is aglow with strings of ice-colored lights meticulously wrapped around the tree trunks.  It is a shimmering illumination giving the landscape the feel of a wintery-wonderland. Outside my home is the Christmas Nativity Scene; Baby Jesus in a manger and Mary and Joseph standing statuesquely, on each side of Him. As the church bells chime in unison at the stroke of midnight, the holiday decorations all around the neighborhood miraculously come to life. The Three Magi, come before The Newborn King, offering their finest gifts from the Orient, of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The shepherds, along with the sheep they herd day-and-night, softly and silently approach, being curious to take a peek and see the Newborn Baby. An angelic vision told them to come and see the most wonderful and miraculous event that would forever change the world ...

As comedian Gilda Radner, playing Emily Litella, would famously say in her Editorial Reply on the news segment of Saturday Night Live (SNL) when she was gently corrected for her innocent and inadvertent misinterpretations: “Oh, that’s different. Never mind!”  Two news organizations: Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters briefly posted a report that a United Nations study found that the United States had “the world’s highest rate of children in detention”.  Well of course; this would definitely add irrefutable credence that President Trump was indeed a hideous, horrible, child-caging monster for having detained so many little children at the US-Mexico border. Letter to the Editor, More scandalous than a soap opera Got your attention! Thought so!  This is a real-life-story you probably haven’t heard much about, if any. A DNA test confirmed that this middle-aged man from a powerful political family fathered a baby with a young woman in college, despite his previously repeated denials to this fact. This man fathered the child while he was still legally married to his wife of 22 years and had three children with, and during this time he was also dating his late brother’s widow and the mother of his niece and nephew. His older brother, the shining star in the family, had sadly died of brain cancer. This man’s wife accused him of having “created financial concerns for the family by spending extravagantly on his own interests, including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he had sexual relations, while leaving the family with no funds to pay legitimate bills.” His wife and ch...

Letter to the Editor, Protecting powerful progressives vs. telling the truth Journalists have prided themselves in being the bastions of the free-press valiantly “speaking truth to power”, but recent revelations show they shamelessly kowtowed to the prominent, powerful progressives. Letter to the Editor, Beto bites the dust We no longer have to bite the bullet enduring the endless escapades of Robert Francis O’Rourke because he’s no longer in the race for President. He ended his Presidential run by standing on a box that staffers had stamped on it in black lettering the words “soap” and “Beto 2020”. Standing on a soap-box! He was the ultimate cool-kid wannabe; the skinny, scrawny, snot-nosed little kid who desperately wanted to be accepted by the brawny, big-shot boys at school who were older, had more real-world, life-experience. Letter to the Editor, The day mainstream news-reporting died Legacy news reporting died when mainstream media reporters no longer reported what was going-on, but only commented on what a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad President Americans had elected. Day-in and day-out all that was reported was how much these reporters hated the President and how everything the President said and did was so terrible, horrible, no good and very bad. At first people would tune-in to the news to see what was going on in the country, but all they got was an earful about how the President was a dictator, misogynist, tyrant, racist, criminal, traitor, and fascist.
