Obituary
Johnny G. Cordova, age 77, entered into rest on Thursday, September 10, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on December 20, 1942 in Alpine, Texas.
Johnny received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from Sul Ross
State University. He was a lifelong Educator working for the San Felipe/ Del
Rio Consolidated School District and Sul Ross State University, where he taught
Art.
He also volunteered at Casa de la Cultura and taught pottery classes at the
Fire House.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Mary Cordova. Daughter
Michelle (John) Cordova Ryon. Grandchildren Mia Ryon and Jack Ryon. Brother
Leonel Cordova.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Sunset
Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm by The Legion
of Mary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020, 10:00am,
at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances, Memorials can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Catholic Church.
