Meditation from St. Jude League
Sometimes we face our fears in the situations we encounter in life. At other times, the storms rage inside our hearts and we are the only ones who know our fears. Then there are times, as with Peter in this week’s Gospel, when the cause of our fear is not that we are literally sinking, but that we are sinking because we are afraid and because we do not have sufficient clarity to see God’s hand giving us the strength we need. It is then that we see Jesus walk on the waters of our hearts, giving us strength so that we don’t sink, despite all of our storms and winds. Yours in prayer |
