Miguel P. Castellano, 85, entered eternal rest July 20, 2011 in Del Rio, Texas.

Miguel was born September 29, 1925 in Comstock, Texas.

He is survived by his wife: Lillie T. Castellano; daughters: Rebecca Paz and her husband Robert of Midland, TX, Virginia Jimenez of Comstock, TX, Sandra Gonzales and her husband Joe of Pearsall, TX and Lillie T. Castellano of Del Rio, TX; sons: Abraham Castellano and his wife Barbie of Richardson, TX, Augustine Castellano and his wife Pam of Odessa, TX, Mike Castellano Jr. and his wife Barbara of San Angelo, TX, Jerry Castellano and his wife Mary Bell of Alpine, TX; grandchildren: Robbie Paz, J.T. Paz, Regina Jimenez, Lillian Jimenez and fiancé Joshua Barrett, Alfonso Jimenez III and his wife Claudia, Mark Castellano, Jason Castellano and his wife Debbie, Justin Castellano and his wife Eli, Misela Gonzales and fiancé Miles Vandewalle, Brandon and Bradley Castellano, Abraham and Jessica Castellano; great grandchildren: Rebecca Ann Paz, Alyssa Arredondo, Cayden Castellano, Alannah Castellano and Justin A Castellano; also, step great grandchildren: Jimmy and Chris Martin, John and Matt Behrman, and Esmeralda Baeza.

Miguel was preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Hijinia Castellano, brothers: Pedro Macario and Secundino Castellano, sisters: Maria Galindo, Rosa Sauceda and Carmen Berreles; and grandson: Brian Paz.

Miguel worked simultaneously with the Texas Department of Transportation for 35 years and as a custodian with the US Border Patrol in Comstock for 31 years.

His community involvement included Member of Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Comstock, past president and secretary of the Comstock Rodeo Club, Member of the Comstock PTA Booster Club and the Comstock Water Board.

Miguel was an avid baseball aficionado.

In his early years he played semi-pro baseball.

Above everything in Miguel's life the two things he treasured most were his family and music both of which he embraced with fervent love.

The sounds of his voice and guitar will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Visitations will be on Friday 3-9:00P.M, July 22, 2011 and Saturday, 9-12 Noon, July 23, 2011 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary vigil at 7:00P.M, on Friday evening.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, 1:00P.M, July 23, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment at Comstock Cemetery, Comstock, Texas.
