Hello Media Missionaries,
Life on the Rock: Did you know that 80% of all Christian students (Protestant & Catholic) who are very active and strong in their faith and church activities during high school will lose their faith before they graduate from college? Yes, 80%! Why? According to Marcel Le Jeune,“ Kids do not want the ‘fluff and stuff’ teachings at their youth programs. These kids are hungry and searching for the truth. We are made for the Truth and the Catholic Church has the Truth.” Marcel has been the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Texas A&M (the largest campus ministry in the country) since 2006.
If you have a youth minister or director at your parish, I hope you contact them and let them know that Marcel Le Jeune will be on EWTN’s Life on the Rock on, Thursday, June 23, at 9:00 pm and I am sure he will have tons of information that will be helpful for your director and your parish’s youth. We can not afford to lose 80% of our youth to the secular world. They are the Church’s future!
Fullness of Truth Conference: I have permission from our EWTN Representative, Spencer Swope, to pass this information on to you. Fr. Mitch Pacwa, (EWTN program host of EWTN Live and Threshold of Hope), Sister Roselyn Moss (EWTN program host before beginning a new religious order), Steve Ray (EWTN program host of “Footprints of God”) and Dr. Michael Berber who studied under Dr. Scott Hahn will be speaking at the Fullness of Truth Conference here in San Antonio on August 27 & 28. Topic: “Where Is That In The Bible? Discovering New Testament Catholic Teaching Hidden In The Old Testament”. If you haven’t been to one of these conferences, you will want to go. Trust me. If you have been before, you know how wonderful and spiritually filling they are on educating us in our faith. Go to www.fullnessoftruth.org to register. It will fill up fast so register early.
Facebook for Media Missionaries: A great way to communicate with fellow Media Missionaries and to receive the answers to frequently asked questions and other news. Go to www.facebook.com/ewtnmissionaries.
I hope to see many of you at EWTN Family Celebration on July 23 & 24, just look for a redhead and come say “Hi”.
Blessings to you all always and thank you for spreading the Truth to those you love and to your parish

“We offer to God the praise of thanksgiving for Mother Angelica and for her obedience to God in founding the world’s largest Catholic network.”
